Cyproterone acetate為一類固醇抗男性荷爾蒙（steroidal anti-androgen），可用於前列腺癌的治療。多數病人對此藥物耐受程度高，但文獻曾報告會引起各式肝毒性，包括黃疸、肝炎、肝衰竭及肝癌等，有些甚至是致命性的不良反應。
本文描述一病人因治療前列腺癌而服用cyproterone，六星期後，出現急性肝炎症狀，經停止cyproterone的投與，於四星期後肝功能才回復至正常。
 

Cyproterone acetate is a steroidal anti-androgenic drug that has been used in the treatment of prostate cancer. The drug is thought to be well-tolerated, but a few cases of hepatotoxicity have been reported, such as jaundice, hepatitis, hepatic failure and liver cancer. Some cases are fatal. 
We know of one case of a patient who, after receiving six weeks of cyproterone therapy for prostate cancer, developed acute hepatitis. Cyproterone therapy was stopped immediately. The patient’s hepatic function improved progressively and returned to normal within four weeks.
