背景：罹患心臟衰竭的病患，其五年存活率為30-40 %，症狀愈嚴重者，致死率越高。Digoxin雖不能降低病人之死亡率，但能顯著改善症狀，所以為治療心臟衰竭的常用藥物。由於digoxin用藥安全範圍相當狹窄，所以其藥物交互作用有詳加探討的必要。
方法：本研究為敘述性研究（descriptive study），研究對象乃收集台灣中部某醫學中心92年1月間所有服用digoxin藥物的病患，共計 440 人次，逐一探討具有潛在藥物交互作用處方，並統計其合併處方率，以及其相關因子的探討。
結果：具潛在性藥物交互作用的處方率為43.96 %。若只估計具臨床意義的交互作用（一到三級）則有28.97 %。其中與 digoxin有關之擬交互作用處方率為23.45 %。共有700組藥物可能產生交互作用，若只估計具臨床意義的第一級到第三級的交互作用則有409組，佔了13.97 %。此外，本研究發現可能發生藥物交互作用機率與藥品品項數及病患的年齡呈現正相關性。
結論：這些結果顯示吾人不能忽略digoxin與其他藥物產生交互作用之潛在危險性，尤其罹患心臟衰竭之老年病患，採用多藥療法時，更需小心評估。
 

Background: Digoxin is mostly used in heart failure; the therapeutic index is low and the effective dosage is nearly to the toxic dosage; its tendency in the drug interactions is even more emphasized. 

Methods: This study collected prescriptions contained digoxin during the period of 1/1/2003 to 1/31/2003, there are 440 samples and 30231 drugs to explore the drug interaction possibilities and relative factors of digoxin. 

Results: The incidence of the drug interactions was 43.96 %, and 28.97 % with clinical significant interactions (severity 1 to 3). The results from interaction severity analysis had shown high percentage for even severity 2 in the prescriptions. The incidence of drug interactions with digoxin was 23.45 % with a total of 700 sets, and 409 sets in severity 1 to 3, which was 13.97 %. In addition, the incidence of drug interactions displayed a positive correlation with the number of drugs and patients’ age.

Conclusions: The results appear that we can not neglect the potential risk of drug interactions of digoxin, especially the elderly heart failure patients with multiple drug treatment.
