【綜合評述】臺灣核醫放射性藥學之現況與展望

核子醫學是運用放射性物質釋放能量特性,藉由醫學儀器造影擷取體內生物標記物質分布與動態變化的分子影像來觀察組織的新陳代謝、生化或生理過程分子或細胞層次的異常變化,進行疾病早期診斷與分期、治療與結果追蹤的醫學專科。
核子醫學發展過程相關技術包括核種發現、放射性藥品與造影儀器三大部分。核種發現為初期重要貢獻,目前聚焦於放射性藥品製劑研發應用與造影儀器發展,本文主要針對核醫體內診斷與治療藥品使用與發展及國內醫療作業現況與管理進行探討。
 
Nuclear medicine is a medical specialty involving the application of radioactive substances with imaging modalities in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. In nuclear medicine imaging, focus on molecular medicine that probes known as biomarkers are used to help image particular targets or pathways; it enables the visualization of the cellular function and the follow-up of the molecular process in living organisms without perturbing them. It evaluates physiologic changes, metabolism, and more recently molecular alterations. This ability to image fine molecular changes opens up an incredible number of exciting possibilities for medical application, including early detection, staging and treatment of disease.
The growth and evolution of nuclear medicine involved in radionuclide discovery, radiopharmaceuticals and imaging modalities technology. The road to the current status is focus on radiopharmaceutical development, application and imaging modalities technologies. The aim of this article was to report the clinical application and future development of radiopharmaceuticals, regulations for registration of radiopharmaceuticals, qualification and quality of nuclear pharmacy practice issues in Taiwan were also discussed.
